Andrea Ramazzotti

Short Bio

I am a tenure-track Assistant Professor (Ricercatore RTT) of Economic History at Universitas Mercatorum, Rome.

My research combines Economic History, Labour Economics and Economic Geography to study the effects of labour market institutions and public policies on workers, firms and regional development. I use quantitative methods to identify causal effects in historical settings, drawing on primary data I digitise and harmonise.

Before joining Mercatorum I was a Research Fellow at CSEF, University of Naples Federico II. I hold a PhD in Economic History from the London School of Economics and an MPhil in Economic and Social History from the University of Oxford.
